Event and Time
Event Description
On February 2, 2019, during a four-hour cruise aboard a vessel in Sydney Harbour, Daljit Singh and his partner, Shalina Abdulhussein, attended a friend’s birthday celebration. Tragically, Shalina lost consciousness in a toilet cubicle on the vessel and was later found unresponsive, ultimately declared deceased due to inhalation of hydrogen sulphide, stemming from issues with the vessel's waste management system. As a result, Daljit Singh initiated legal proceedings under the Compensation to Relatives Act 1897 (NSW) for his sons, Dylan and Arron, who suffered psychological injuries due to the loss of their mother.
